Passenger/cargo steamship built for Archibald Currie & Co's Australian and Indian Line, Melbourne in 1910. Employed on the Melbourne - Calcutta run she carried Australian Brumbies north and Indian produce and exotic animals on the southern run.

1916 Served as an Indian Expeditionary Force transport.

  23.02.1916 - Passed Wilsons Promontory lighthouse at 10:00 sailing east.
   
  24.02.1916 - Passed Green Cape lighthouse at 06:00 sailing north.

  01.03.1916 - Sailed Newcastle for Brisbane.
   
  02.03.1916 - Passed South Solitary lighthouse 14:30.

For Calcutta: 100 cs apples (consigned by C. McDonald), 178 cs jams, 80 cs biscuits, 81 cs wine, 2 cs brandy, 160 cs provisions, 222 bls wool, 64 horses.

For Bombay: 260 cs provisions, 818 bls comp. fodder, 6 cs dripping, 3 cs books, 6 cs tyre composition, 82 cs jams.
Also 6195 bags chaff, 288 bls hay, 8 bls straw, 724 bgs bran for use on the voyage.
